Great work Sarah helping your friend Liam out . I read this news article in Melbourne where I live and forwarding it to others here . Many years ago in chch I facilitated a family that lost everything in a house fire . I contacted the local supermarkets & banks with the news stories and to my suprise they all helped fund raise and family were donated alot of money and goods to the family . Maybe worth approaching them . Humanity still exists today . Regards Brent
Sarah
Thanks Brent! Great suggestion! Definitely good idea to look into that

Perhaps better to approach the local rag, Taranaki Daily news, with an update on how the Givealittle page has gone, and Liam's determination to start all over again etc etc
Sarah
Hi Alan! Yes good idea!

Hi Sarah, perhaps you could get back in contact with Stuff, who initially ran the story, to do an update, with a link this time to the Givealittle page. Pointing out also, that Liam intends to try again with another truck. That way people could donate materials to the project. I'm sure there will be plenty of second hand vehicles available, and local businesses would jump at the opportunity to donate matrials to help with the rebuild. Thanks and good luck Alan
Sarah
Thank you Alan for that suggestion! I will definitely pass it on to Liam
Gary asks
Does Liam have a place to stay? What possessions has he lost apart from the truck? I wish I lived closer so I could help. I've shared the article in a dozen other groups. Good luck Liam. 👍🤗
Sarah
Hi Gray, yes Liam has a place to stay thankfully to some wonderful mates. Everything was lost in the truck except for pretty much the clothes on his back. Thank you so much, we really appreciated it!!
