Senior competitive gymnast given the opportunity to train at World and Olympic champions gymnasium in Michigan, USA

Bay of Plenty

I have been a competitive gymnast for 9 years and recently I have been given the amazing opportunity to train for 2 weeks at Twistars USA the home of World All Around Champion and Olympic Champion Jordyn Wieber. Jordyn's coach John Geddert was the USA Olympic head coach and he was named coach of the year in 2012. When in Michigan we will train 4 to 5 days a week for 5 hours at a time, learning new skills and soaking up the knowledge and expertise of the coaches in the USA.

Unfortunately there are no senior coaches in Whakatane, therefore I travel 50 minutes 3 to 4 times a week to train at Te Puke Gymnastics Club, where I receive the best coaching available in the area. I am passionate about the sport and I am taking every opportunity I can to win another national title and be selected to represent New Zealand.
