Help us help Murray

Auckland

"Hi Dav?d, if you have a moment sometime tomorrow could you text me so I can call you to tell you some news in person. Cheers Murray"

This abrupt text came through to my phone the other day, from a dear old neighbor.

Murray was an awesome neighbor across the road, always sharing food and wisdom and chitchat with us whenever he had a chance. We were neighbors for 7 good years and then COVID hit and they had to move a little further away.

Murray has always been a part of any worthwhile

charitable cause e.g. fundraising for the cancer society.

This text led to a phone call that rocked my core. A devastating health affliction that I can see placing yet another impossible load on the couple's financial situation, as Murray is retired and living on a pension.

Join me in helping Murray with his predicament, a little can go a long way for them.

We used to be really good neighbours, they moved down the road before COVID and Murray was diagnosed with cancer of the oesophagus

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
