Angela Gibsons Pancreatic cancer journey.

  • Service

      2 November 2024

Angela will be taking her last journey from lychway funeral home on Tuesday at 11 to Kelvin grove crematorium. The director has said on Monday if people want to write a message on her casket or place something to take with her they can do that on Monday between 9 and 4 at 5 Roy street.

There will be no service Tuesday just a farewell at the cemetery. It’s mainly for her family to bid her farewell in these saddest of times.

If I haven’t contacted you directly please come.

If you’re not family and can’t come to Levin on Saturday or just feel you have to say goodbye that’s ok too.

We are going to have a service/memorial for Angela on Saturday the 9th of November at 1pm at Angela’s sisters Celtic winery which is 324 Hokio beach road Levin. Everyone is welcome.

    Thanks mark and family

Unfortunately Angela passed away at 3pm on October 30th. The chemo seemed to be working with tumour markers down and liver function not bad at all.The cancer which she obviously had been fighting for a long time was too much for her body to fight anymore and the only blessing is it happened very rapidly.

Angela had a couple of treatments of Abraxane and oncology consults with the funds that were raised. Any further funds will be put towards funeral costs. Thank you for all your support both financial and the messages people sent to her. They did really lift her spirits.

You can leave a message here or https://www.facebook.com/angela.gibson.902

    Thanks again Mark and family.

Unfortunately Angela is currently in hospice with her family. Over the long weekend she was increasingly exhausted and went down hill rapidly on Monday.Tuesday she was so bad I made the tough choice for her to go to hospice. There is no other way to say this but this is where her journey ends. Thank you for all kindness and messages it was a pleasure to read how much support she had and relay this to her. I will post here and on her FB page when the service will be. Thank you all from Mark and family.
