Angelas Pancreatic Cancer fight.
Palmerston North, Manawatu-Wanganui
Unfortunately Angela passed away at 3pm yesterday the 30th of October. The chemo seemed to be working with tumour markers down and liver function not bad at all however the cancer which she obviously had been fighting for a long time was too much for her body to fight anymore and the only blessing is it happened very rapidly.
Thank you for all your support both financial and the messages people sent to her. They did really lift her spirits. I think the breadth of support showed how much love she shared.

Thanks again Mark and family.

On the 14th of August Angela went to ED for the second time in a month after months of unexplained pain where after a CT scan was given the devastating news she had stage 4 pancreatic cancer that had spread to lungs liver and ovaries.
The public system has been worse than awful with the initial missed diagnosis and then mucking us around for a month after a CT scan that quite clearly showed multiple tumors.
After it became clear that the public system was not going to help at all we sort out a private oncologist who has been literally a life line and has been able to give Angela some hope.
Angela has been receiving chemo (Abraxane) privately and hopefully will be able to receive ongoing treatments. There is no fairy tale ending its just a matter of giving her the best we can.
Currently she is constantly exhausted and the simplest things are hard. I would like to get her to the point where we could return for a day or two to the Kapiti coast where she grew up.
If Angela hasn't replied to correspondence its simply because the cancer has been so overwhelming both physically and mentally. I have set up a phone where you can send her love 026 650 0514 and I will make sure gets them.
Thanks Mark
Angela is my partner of 25 years and Mother to our children Nicholas and Sophie.
Updated on 31/10: Further funds will be used for funeral costs.

Service 2 November 2024
Angela will be taking her last journey from lychway funeral home on Tuesday at 11 to Kelvin grove crematorium. The director has said on Monday if people want to write a message on her casket or place something to take with her they can do that on Monday between 9 and 4 at 5 Roy street.
There will be no service Tuesday just a farewell at the cemetery. It’s mainly for her family to bid her farewell in these saddest of times.
If I haven’t contacted you directly please come.
If you’re not family and can’t come to Levin on Saturday or just feel you have to say goodbye that’s ok too.
We are going to have a service/memorial for Angela on Saturday the 9th of November at 1pm at Angela’s sisters Celtic winery which is 324 Hokio beach road Levin. Everyone is welcome.
Thanks mark and family
