Anna’s Medical Mission Trip to Tonga!

Anna is raising funds to go to Tonga on a Medical Mission Trip by running the Monteith’s Clyde to Alexandra 10km Road Race!

On 12-19th October I am flying to Tonga to volunteer on a Medical Mission Trip with other health professionals from Equippers Church. I will be serving the Tongan community there in a nursing capacity. We will be completing health checks on the children and providing health education in classrooms with a focus on mental health and conflict/anger management, particularly for the Tongan youth. We will also be providing acute care in health tents, donating health resources and supplies, and supporting local health care providers in their work.

To raise funds for this trip I am going to run the Monteith’s Clyde to Alexandra 10km Road Race on 10th August and am hoping that friends and family will partner with me in making a difference in Tonga by sponsoring me to complete the race.

Use of funds

The funds donated/sponsored will go towards my flights and accommodation. Any surplus money will be donated to the ACTs Community School in Tonga. If I am unable to attend the trip for unforeseen circumstances the money raised will be donated to the school
