We are fund raising for our beautiful and caring Anne to help her beat triple negative breast cancer.
Canterbury
It all started when Anne found a lump. This was just a few months ago. Going through all the investigations and Doctors appointments, the result was what we all dread - Breast cancer, and even more heart stopping, it is a particularly aggressive one. The treatment and the journey to beat this has started.
The recommendation from the Oncologist to significantly increase the percentage chances of successfully beating this is to include an Immunotherapy drug - Keytruda, which is not government funded - essentially coming with a price of $70k to cover the cost of the recommended treatment. Any donation, big or small will mean the absolute world to us, this drug is the game changer.
We appreciate how stressful life is for so many at this time, but anything that people can contribute will ease the impact and contribute towards the goodwill and support that Anne needs to fight this battle. Anne is an amazing mother, a hard worker, a talented scrapbooker and crafter, she supports many animal charities, and is a person of huge generosity to others - now is our time to give back.
From our hearts, we thank you in advance for your goodwill, consideration and contribution.
Anne is my precious sister, my best friend and greatest support.
All funds raised will go towards Keytruda, a Immunotherapy Treatment to give Anne the greatest chance of beating this insidious disease.
Chemo Done!! 29 August 2022
Just over a week ago I had my final chemo treatment. Such a relief to tick off 6 months of chemo, and while there were some issues along the way, according to my oncologist I tolerated it pretty well. During this time I have also had 4 treatments of Keytruda, the funds from this page made this possible for which I am extremely grateful.
The next stage is surgery. Last week I had an MRI & a meeting with my breast surgeon. The results from the MRI showed I have had a complete response to the chemo/keytruda with the tumour no longer showing on the MRI. This is fantastic news and the whole point of adding in the Keytruda to my treatment plan.
After surgery a decision will be made as to what further treatment will be required. This will likely include radiation & maybe more chemo (oral).
Thank you so much for the amazing support I have received so far & your generosity in donating to this page.
Regards
Anne xx
