Anya's Marine Reach Fundraiser

Hello Family and Friends,

My name is Anya Lewis and I am excited to share with you that after a lot of careful consideration and prayer, I have been accepted to study Medical Compassion DTS (Discipleship Training School) at the Marine Reach YWAM (Youth With A Mission) Base in Tauranga New Zealand, which is set to begin the 19th of October 2020 which will start my five incredible months with Marine Reach New Zealand.

YWAM has a heart for challenging followers of Jesus to grow closer to the Lord and to prepare them to go on mission for the sake of the Gospel. In my chosen DTS Medical Compassion, the first three months will consist of a lecture phase, where I will take classes to learn more about God, the Gospel, and how to evangelize and disciple others. The last two months will consist of an outreach phase, where God will send our team somewhere to put our study into action and impact those in the community where the teachings would be most impactful for God's people.

This year has brought incredible growth in my spiritual faith, I have come back to God and felt more of his presence and his voice. There has been a clear calling into pursing him passionately and sacrificing things (such as family time, leaving home, money) to follow his calling for my life. I am confident in his voice leading me to learn more about Him and what it is that I am supposed to do with my life. This study at Marine Reach would challenge myself, grow my faith and learn more about Medical Compassion in order to help God's people who need help in this area specifically. I have come to believe that this really is not an experience for me as much as it is an experience for those who will be touched as God uses me as a tool.

It is my hope that you, the reader, would partner with me in donating to my pursuit of furthering my relationship with God, but more importantly, spreading the news of the gospel to the nations of the world. I have spent this year working and saving up for this incredible opportunity, ensuring that I can attend mostly by my own costs. However because I am leaving very soon I am still going to need some extra support in order to there. Your generous donations would help with costs of the training and operational costs, payments for tuition fees of both the lecture phase & outreach phase, along with the full coverage of living costs on base such as transport, room, board, meals, study and field supplies etc.

I am so excited for what He has planned for me in this next step of faith.
