The abuse of our children is a vile and dark shadow that has been cast over our nation for too long. We are riding, please ride with us.

Canterbury

Male survivors of sexual abuse are riding horseback to Parliament to ask all politicians and those who are going to stand this year in the elections to sign a pledge, the pledge is....

"I declare Aotearoa the family violence free sanctuary of the world, this will come about by having a strategic plan across party vision where Aotearoa will be predator free by 2090 for our children".

Currently in New Zealand predator free 2050 is a plan put forth by the New Zealand government, with the goal of eradicating all marsupial and introduced predators from New Zealand by 2050, what about our children we have no strategic plan in this country to protect our children from sexual, physical or emotional abuse from human predators.

On the 5th of August there is "a call to men" hui in Wellington asking men in this country to stand up and help put a stop to domestic violence, there will be people coming from all over the North Island to attend this hui, the ANZAC Mounts and support team will be leaving the Charles Upham Memorial in Amberley on 27th July @8am, there will be 6 horses going to Wellington. This will take 9 days, along the way the Anzac Mounts will be stopping in townships where people get a opportunity to hear why we are going to Parliament and meet with the horses (these horses are on the 2019 ANZAC stamp).

Anzac Mounts Equine Rehab Unit is still going through the process of setting up a trust, which has been delayed by Covid-19. In the meantime, funds will be paid to our Treasurer, Sophie Wood.

Use of funds

The money will be used to cover petrol and ferry crossing fees for the horse floats and campervans.

Food for the support team, and to cover campervan hire if sponsorship does not become available, any funds left over will go to the Equine therapy programme
