It is so exciting to share with you all that today Mel's dream of her wheels to freedom came true - she got her fully equipped van!!

To make this dream a reality, friends and family have dug deep to and provided the additional funding to purchase the van.

Funding for Mel will be ongoing due to her circumstances so watch this space! There will be ongoing fundraising that we will be aiming to do to keep the fund pot above the line. This money will always be for the purpose of providing Mel with her "wheels to freedom".

On behalf of Mel and her family - thank you so much for your kind generosity. Your support has meant so much to everyone, but most of all Mel.

Look out Dunedin, she is back!

  • The day in the life of Mel

      27 June 2018

    Hi Everyone

Mel's girls have created a snapshot of the day in the life of Mel attending her much needed rehabilitation - from going to the gym to the physio pool.

Currently Mel only has enough funding to attend both weekly - due to having to pay for taxis without any financial assistance, but her goal is to be able to go more regularly. The outcomes of attending the gym and swimming are profound. This video, we hope gives you a good insight into what Mel goes through. Her goal is to have her own transport so she can continue more regularly with her rehab.

On behalf of Mel, thank you to everyone who has contributed so far to her cause. Please continue to share the givealittle link to reach our target. Mel needs this van!

    Vicky xx

  • Funding update - Wheels to Freedom

      22 May 2018

Mel's much needed funds got an extra boost last week with:

    - $5,000 donation from Mel's former employee Ray

    White Dunedin.

    - $1,000 donation from her generous colleagues /

friends and friends from Ray White Dunedin.

Thank you so much to Peter and the team at Raywhite Dunedin. You guys are amazing.

I have adjusted the total to $24,000 to reflect the $6,000 that has been paid directly into Mel's trust fund account.

I caught up with Mel on Sunday and she is so grateful to every single one of you who have donated so far or have shared the page. Please continue to share this page, as this is the only way we will reach our target.

Mel and her family are currently working on a video that she would like to share with you. I will load the video up once it is available. If you don't already, please go onto Facebook and like the "IRON Warriors" page. This is the fantastic team who work with Mel on her much needed rehabilitation.

    Thanks Vicky
