Arachnoid cyst surgery for my child

Hi everyone my name is Saiyad. We have just recently found out that my 6 year old boy has arachnoid cyst which has deformed his skull and also pushing his brain to one side.

We noticed that his skull was growing when he was 3 years old but we were repeatedly told by our Gp that it is because he only sleeps on one side.

But last year we changed our GP and they straight away told us that there's definitely something wrong.

So now he has to go through a big surgery where he needs to be in hospital for 2 weeks. For the surgery doctors will remove my sons skull and drain the cyst and will also reshape his head it will take 4 hours approximately and after few weeks he will go through another surgery where the doctors will put a "shunt" in his head where if the cyst reoccurs then it can be drained directly to his stomach.

Me and my wife need some financial help to cater for our daily expenses and accommodation bill. Surgery will be done at Starship hospital. We also have a 1year old baby to look after so neither me or my partner can work during the surgery and after the surgery.

Funds will be mainly used for accommodation near the hospital plus food costs and daily necessities.
