Saturday December 20th marked 6 months since Aaron left this world- as well as his adoring partner Karma, loving daughter Asha, many whanau and friends - presumably to go and entertain some other gods with his musical gifts, extreme humility, unique personality and beautiful, kind heart.

The outpouring of generosity and love of so many people from around the world , whom Aaron influenced, affected and elevated, is testament to how deeply loved he is. He is desperately missed and those closest to Aaron still struggle to come to terms with the immeasurable loss of him in their lives.

I had the gift of Aaron's friendship over the last few years in Auckland, we worked together, walked together and laughed relentlessly together. I know with certainty that Asha and Karma were his priorities in life , they were his present, his future and his joy.

Funds donated on Givealittle have helped to assist Karma as she has struggled to return to full time work while dealing with the trauma and grief of losing the man she shared her life and home with.

Aaron's goal of buying his beautiful daughter her first car was achieved in the months following. To see the joy on Asha's face when she got in her car the first time would have made Aaron so proud and happy. Asha is currently doing a road trip in the North island in her car.

Ongoing financial assistance will be provided for Asha to continue one of the ways Aaron helped support his daughter.

Close friends who helped with initial tangi costs have been reimbursed.

All koha from the subsequent Auckland tribute gig ( one of several tribute gigs) and AhoriBuzz merchandise sales is been being held until advised by Aaron's whanau where to direct funds.

Thank you to each and every one of you for your generosity, your support and your love.

Aaron Arana Tokona will never be forgotten, he will always be loved and we will be forever grateful for the time he shared with us.
