Hi to all our donors. Well, we're nearly there - only one week to go until the opening of Where Shall We Call Home? (Saturday 17th June, 2pm). It's been quite a journey, and most exciting to unwrap the packages containing artworks that have been created especially for this exhibition. If you are able to come to the opening, please come and say "Hi" to Art for Change members who will be wearing name badges. It should be quite an event! Once again, we can't thank you enough for your generous support. Brenda & the Art for Change team

The video shows Brenda Liddiard singing her song, The Ocean, and some of her artwork included in the exhibition. Video & editing by Louise Liddiard-Imeson.

Now that we have covered our exhibition set-up costs, thanks to the generosity of our donors, this page is now open for donations which will go directly to NZ Red Cross Pathways to Settlement, and the Auckland Refugee Family Trust, so if you know people who can't come to our exhibition, but would still like to donate to this work, please share this page with them.

The attached image is by Auckland artist Gaël Rowntree.

Many thanks to all you wonderful donors. Art for Change members are extremely grateful for your generosity, which means that as well as having sufficient to cover our gallery costs, we will also be able to do a really good job of promoting the exhibition with plenty of posters, flyers and invitations. We will also be able to put on a good opening event, to which you are all, of course, invited. If you are able to make it to Depot Artspace, Clarence Street, Devonport, on Saturday 17th June at 2pm, please come and say "Hi". We plan to be wearing Art for Change name labels, so you'll know who we are, if you don't know some of us already!

The beautiful image is of one of the paintings to be shown in the exhibition: Running to No Where, by Jennie de Groot.

  • Thank you!!

      3 April 2017

Thank you so much to our incredibly generous donors.

Planning for the exhibition and surrounding events is going really well, and we are being contacted every day by more artists wanting to contribute works, which is very exciting.

The Amnesty International North Shore group are planning arts activities for young people, to take place in the gallery on Sunday 25th June.

    More updates later!
