We are raising money to provide scholarships to students in financial need!

In ancient mythology, Artemis was one of the most widely venerated Greek deities. She was the Hellenic goddess of the mountains and forest, and the protector of young girls; she was often depicted as a huntress carrying a bow and arrows, representing a symbol of strength and power.
The Artemis Foundation, founded in 2017, serves similar ideals. As an organization, we hope to promote, advocate and raise awareness for environmental sustainability. At the same time, we hope to increase access to and provide opportunities for education, especially for female students.
Ever since its establishment, the foundation has already helped numerous organizations and individuals in achieving their environmental and/or educational goals.
One of the biggest scholarships we sponsor is the Artemis Foundation Scholarship at the University of Waikato, which is a $7000 scholarship helping students with their tuition and living costs. Last year's winner was Te Riria Potiki (Ngāti Pāhauwera, Ngāi Tahu, Tuhoe) from Turangi. She started her third year studying towards a Bachelor of Environmental Planning in the Te Ara Taiao: Māori and the Environment stream. After graduation, Te Riria hopes to start an environmental consultancy company and work with iwi, hapu and Maori interest groups as well as governing bodies to combat the degradation of our whenua and taiao.
Your donation will be used for scholarships such as the one supporting Te Riria and many other worthwhile charitable causes! Furthermore, every single donation will be matched by the charity's founder!

The money will be spent on scholarships for New Zealand students, especially girls, who pursue STEM.
