So Toby’s recovery has gone amazingly well. He was booked in for his final surgery today and got the splint off, he must feel so free now!! The vet was very impressed with how his jaw has healed but sadly he had to have one of his bottom canines removed as it had died from all the trauma. Toby has a few stitches where the tooth was extracted and a little bandage on his leg from where the line went in, some antibiotics and pain relief and 1 more check up in 10 days then he will be happy and healthy and able to chase balls and chew things 💜 again. Thank you too everyone who wished him well and supported him your kindness is so appreciated.

Hi everyone, so yesterday Thursday 7th of March it was 2 weeks since Toby’s 2nd surgery where the Vet (dentist) secured a splint in Toby’s mouth to hold everything together so he could heal. It was a really positive appointment the splint is still perfectly in place and his gums look nice and healthy and everything is healing well, so in the next month he will have surgery to remove the splint. We can’t wait for the splint to be removed as all his soft food gets stuck underneath and it smells awful 🤢 plus Ash can’t wait to play pull a tug and throw a ball for Toby. Again thanks for your donations we are so grateful and feel so blessed as the money donated will cover the cost of his next surgery. Here’s a cute photo of Ash and Toby celebrating Ashes 6th birthday a few days ago. 💜💜💜

Hi everybody another big thank you for donating, sharing and caring 💜 Toby’s amazing vet shared a photo of a splint that is helping Toby’s broken jaw heal so I thought I would share. Hes coping really well and doesn’t seem fazed having this in his mouth. In Toby’s next surgery this will be removed.

I’ve included a copy of what was done during Toby’s 2nd surgery yesterday in Hamilton if you are interested have a read. Toby is recovering really well and isn’t bothered by the splints in his mouth he’s still his happy cruisey waggy tailed self. Ash is being so gentle with Toby and can’t wait to play with him again 💜💜💜💜 2 surgery’s down one too go.

Toby is due to have his second surgery next Thursday. In the meantime he’s home with his bestie and being fussed over. It’s challenging feeding him with his jaw immobilised but Ash is doing a great job.
