Every little bit counts, Ashley's Journey to kicking cancers butt.
Waikato
Here is a few words about Ashley's Story.
Stage 3 Cervical Cancer.
Ashley will be receiving Radiotherapy every weekday plus Chemotherapy once a week for the next 8 weeks, she only gets Xmas day off. As her little family lives in Waihi, Ashley and Her baby Mason have moved in with me her big sister during the week in Cambridge so that I can assist her in looking after her, travel to and from waikato hospital and helping with little Mason. Ashley will travel home Friday afternoons to spend the weekend with her partner Kyle.
Just one month after having Mason I was diagnosed with cervical cancer. To say it was a bit of a shock is an understatement but with the support from my amazing family and friends I’m ready to beat this thing. Today is my first day of Chemotherapy and radiotherapy. If it wasn’t for my amazing midwife Desiree for noticing something abnormal during labour and the doctors at Tauranga hospital for acting so quick to find out what was wrong I would never have known. A massive thank you to them for giving me a fighting chance at beating this.
Raising funds for my one and only little sister, to help with travel costs and expenses while she receives treatment for her cancer.
Travel expenses (car parking, gas) , groceries, medication (ie anti nausea medication etc) , baby formula as Ashley is unable to breast feed due to treatment.
