    So, we are almost through the second Chemo cycle and round three starts on Wednesday.

    After a pretty rough first part of this cycle which included another few days in hospital, I have had a few good days and even made it to school this week for a day.

    Now the thing that helped me the most in getting to school was the wig that I have been able get thanks to your generous donations. As I have lost my hair already, I felt really self-conscious, but this wig has made such a difference. Yes, it’s not as great as my own hair but it has really helped me feel more confident in going out. For this boost in confidence, I truly thank you for all of your kindness. This picture in the update is me rocking my wig and hanging with my brother.

  • An Update on Amelie’s Journey

    Amelie completed her second round of chemotherapy today, and it has been an incredibly challenging few weeks for her.

    Each chemotherapy cycle spans three weeks, beginning with three consecutive days of treatment followed by a recovery period for the remainder of the cycle.

    The first round of chemotherapy was particularly difficult. Just a few days after returning home, Amelie developed an infection that required her to be readmitted to hospital.

    Once her chemotherapy treatment is complete, she will undergo surgery in Christchurch.
