Auckland Half Marathon for Snells Beach School

Mette, Kenny and I are running the Auckland Half Marathon on October 30th to raise money for our incredible school.

We have all moved to Snells Beach from overseas with our families and our beautiful little Beach School has provided the most wonderful, nurturing environment for our children to thrive in and we are all just so thankful to the school for making these huge moves across the world so much easier for our children that we decided we wanted to give something back.

None of us have ever been into running in fact I have always actively disliked running, before leaving the UK last year I’d never run further than 3km and after running the London Marathon Kenny had said he’d never run one again but I didn’t want to run alone so he agreed to run the half with me! Mette wasn’t sure when I asked her either but turns out she’s an amazing runner and has been the one to drive our training, discovering different running routes in and around this most beautiful part of the World and it turns out we’re actually really enjoying our training, we’re even planning to run the Omaha Half in December and would LOVE to get more parents and anyone who also LOVES our little school to run with us!!
