A Kapiti Coast family… A Mum, Dad and Big brother (6 year old) shouldn’t have gone through all the trauma we have over the last 10 months and sadly our Baby Girl couldn’t fight anymore. Many friends recommend I made this page to help us out in this time, I hate asking for help but I finally decided to do it.

Our precious daughter, Autumn, passed away at just 10 months old in Wellington Hospital after an incredibly brave battle with MIRAGE syndrome, an exceptionally rare genetic condition. Despite everything she endured, she filled our lives with so much love, strength, and joy. Her smile, her courage, and the love she gave us in her short life will stay with us forever.

Over the past 10 months, our family spent countless days and nights in Wellington Children’s hospital, Wellington ICU and attending specialist appointments, and doing everything we could to give Autumn every chance possible. But unfortunately her body had been through so much she couldn’t fight anymore. She passed peacefully in our arms surrounded by her family.

Now we are facing the unimaginable heartbreak of planning our baby girl’s memorial while trying to navigate a future without her.

Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and for helping us celebrate the beautiful life of our precious Autumn. She will always be deeply loved, forever missed, and never forgotten. 🩷

Use of funds

We have created this fundraiser to help ease the financial burden of memorial costs and ongoing living expenses as we take time away from work to process this devastating loss and to buy treats to thank her Medical teams who were such a massive part of our life.
