Awatea's Boxing Dream - To Represent NZ All The Way To The Olympics
Help Awatea achieve his National & International Boxing Goals to represent NZ and eventually compete at the Olympics.

Since the age of 10 years old Awatea Henry began his competitive Amateur Boxing journey at NZ Fight And Fitness Academy under the tutelage of his coaches Ryan & Cherine Henry, Eldon Clifton, Bryan Usher as well as many others.
He has competed in over 50 Amateur Boxing Bouts to date and his dream is to win the 2019 Youth 69kg NZ National Title which he acheived on his 51st bout in Hastings on 5/10/2019. He has now been selected to represent NZ in November where he will complete against the best in Samoa and Australia.
His next goal is to be selected to represent New Zealand and compete at the Youth Worlds in 2020. His ultimate goal in the sport is to represent NZ at the Olympic Games in 2024.
He has been self funded for all his boxing trips, gear and equipment and now needs some financial help to achieve his national and international boxing goals. Please help him achieve this by donating, as every little bit helps.

My name is Cherine Henry and I am one of Awatea Henry's Boxing Coaches at NZ Fight And Fitness Academy. I help mentor and coach him to achieve his Amateur Boxing Dreams.
Use of funds
To cover Awatea's travel expenses, accommodation and equipment costs on his National and International Amateur Boxing journey. Any surplus will be applied to future tournament costs.

🥊Nationals done and dusted and so proud 5/10/2019!
Awatea Henry gave an amazing display of skill in the ring on Saturday and won his fight by a unanimous decision against Eruera Mahara from Auckland bringing home to Otago the Youth 69kg - NZ National Boxing Title!
Well done boy, we all know how hard you have worked for this and we are all so proud of you champ! 🥇
