Please help us raise some funds while we are in christchurch helping our little girl heal
Southland
Madison was born on the 4th of February 2019 in invercargill Nz where her mum and dad live. A miracle baby that was her mum and dads first baby, the princess that made them a family. She was perfect in every way. When Madison was 25 hours old her mum was doing a nappy change and noticed that Madison had pooped and it was all up her front and nothing in the back. Thank goodness the hospital midwife was right beside her mum! We had discovered that Madison had no bottom hole and was having her motions from the wrong place. This is called imperforate anus with recto-vestibular fistula.
Madison has already had 4 surgeries, all done in Christchurch . 1 in February to create her colostomy stoma, 1 in April to fix her stoma as it prolapsed, 1 on the 1st of August 2018 for a PSARP (posterior sagittal anorectoplasty/pull through). while we were waiting for this to heal so they could start dilatations everything went a bit backward. Madison needed up needing to go back into theatre to have her stoma refashioned and have her distal bowel disconnected from her bowel as she started to have faeces coming out the new hole which as caused her to get an Ecoli infection. We are currently in Christchurch hospital and hoping to return back to RMHSI but we have no idea when we will be returning back to invercargill.
The funds will help us be able to survive while we are in Christchurch as we are still paying for life back home and this trip has become unexpectedly longer lasting.
