Help Ayush get to the UN International Youth Assembly!

I applied for this incredible opportunity with a passion for extending myself and my comfort zone, and my genuine curiosity for politics, international relations, and just how the world works. It is with great excitement that I can say that I have been one of a handful of young Kiwis selected into the UN Youth Global Development Tour 2017 delegation.

The 29-day long trip is going to enable myself, along with 21 other amazing young New Zealanders to travel through and explore Paris, Geneva, Brussels, Copenhagen and London - where we will network and communicate with various NGOs and political figures and see how they are acknowledging and working towards one or more of the seventeen 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. The trip culminates to reaching the UN headquarters in New York, where myself (along with the rest of the delegation), will be representing New Zealand at the International Youth Assembly. Here we will discuss and debate our current, pressing global issues, and how we can mitigate those to create a more positive, vibrant future through various policy and collective agreement.

This is such an incredible opportunity for me as it is really shown how much I can do if i just believe in myself and my ability. If I told myself that I would be doing all that I am doing now I would never have believed myself. I really believe that I have grown, matured, and have had a huge increase in my confidence and self-belief over the last few years - this trip is only going to do more of that, along with further catalyse my passion and extend my scope as to what I can do in the future and contribute to a world in which has given me so much already.

Obviously, this once in a lifetime opportunity isn't going to come cheap. I am required to raise $8,000 to cover all costs of the trip.
