Baby Ava: Born With Wings
Please help Sammi and Callum cope after the unexpected loss of their daughter, Ava Renee

It is with great sadness that I’m creating this page on behalf of Sammi and Callum Smith.
What was supposed to be the biggest celebration of their lives has turned out to be the most devastating heartbreak they will go through. After three years of trying to start a family, Sammi and Callum discovered little Ava Renee was on the way.
Sammi had a rougher pregnancy than most. Dealing with several debilitating side effects, she was placed on bedrest. Baby Ava, however, was growing strong and healthy, often expressing her intent of becoming a future gymnast by using Sammi’s bladder as a prop.
On May 8th, Sammi and Callum arrived at the hospital to be induced. They were excited about becoming parents, and couldn't wait to take Ava home with them to start life together as a family. During a pre-check it was discovered that Ava had lost her heartbeat and that she would be born sleeping.
There is no heartbreak that comes close to that of losing a child, and Sammi and Callum sat with this devastating news for two days before Sammi delivered Ava via C-section. Ava was perfect and beautiful and unspeakably precious, and her parents are overcome with grief that they will never get to know their little angel.
After everything they’ve gone through, Sammi and Callum are in financial hardship. Funds raised will be given directly to them to help with funeral costs and other necessities as they both take time off work to grieve. Any amount would greatly appreciated during this difficult time.

Hi all, just a quick update as there seemed to be a few concerns about where these generous donations had gone and what they had been spent on.
As you know, Sammi and Callum lost their precious angel Ava in May 2023. ALL money raised through this site was put towards funeral costs to put baby Ava to rest, and towards other essential bills like rent to help ease the financial burden Sammi and Callum found themselves facing while grieving the loss of their daughter.
Words cannot express how thankful Sammi and Callum are for every cent you were kind enough to give them in their time of need.
