Help and support for George and his family.

Hamilton, Waikato

George is a 3mth old baby boy who has a liver disease called Biliary atresia. The Dr's discovered this at 7 weeks old, and since then has already undergone major surgery called Kasai. Unfortuntely for George this surgery has failed and he has spent the last 5 weeks in hospital. George is about to undergo the process to be put on the liver transplant list, as his liver is failing. George is so unwell that he is not allowed home till after his transplant. Post transplant we will likely to be in Starship for 3- 6 months.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
