We have finally been able to secure a digger and contractor to reshape the slip behind the house. Slow progress but it's better than none.
What once was a lush green thriving meadow, is now an ocean of silt.
Due to the slips on the hill the house is now unsafe to be in. Power went out again 2 days ago and the slips were marked unsafe yesterday. Mum has been told to stay clear of the house and they have had to find alternative accommodation for an unknown amount of time.

We are so grateful for your kind words and all the ways we have recieved support so far. ❤️ we are slowly making our way down fence lines, clearing and digging so that we can soon hopefully get a digger in. Unfortunately we have had another massive drop of rain which has turned everything to slop again and is momentarily stopping progress.
Februar 23 und dies ist das 3 Mal, dass die Farm überflutet wurde. Der Zyklon Gabrielle hat den Lifestyle-Block meiner Familie total verwüstet. Nach der Hälfte der Reparaturen vom letzten Hochwasser (mitte Jan 23), ist die ganze harte Arbeit mit dem Ausgraben von Pflanzen, Zäunen und dem Entfernen von Forstabfällen nun umsonst. Es ist dringend eine große Aufräumaktion erforderlich, die nicht von 2 Personen allein bewältigt werden kann. Wir sind körperlich erschöpft & emotional am ende von den letzten 6 Wochen Chaos.
Unser Hof ist jetzt mit über einem Meter Schlick und Waldschlamm bedeckt. Zäune, Pflanzen & das Viehfutter wurden durch die Überschwemmungen fortgerissen oder zerstört & nun müssen wir von Null anfangen.

February 23 and this is the 3 time the farm has been flooded. Cyclone Gabrielle totally devastated my family's lifestyle block. Half way through repairs from last flood (mid Jan 23), all the hard work of digging up plants, fences and clearing forest debris is now for nothing. A major cleanup is urgently needed that cannot be done by 2 people alone. We are physically exhausted & emotionally at the end of the past 6 weeks of chaos.
Our yard is now covered in over a meter of silt and forest mud. Fences, plants & forage have been swept away or destroyed by the floods & now we have to start from scratch.
Please donate what you can so we are able to hire help with this major clean up & get the repairs going.

Funding will be used for emergency animal feed, replacement of solar system, repairing fences, house and sheds. Hiring of contractors and machinery to help with clean up
Solar system is fried and will need replacing. The newly built sleepout/ house flooring has been fully ripped out as this was 30cm high in silt and water.
Family is unable to get out of the property or have people come into the property due to the amount of logs and silt covering paddocks and driveways.
They are currently preparing for the next downpour at 3pm today.
Mum and brother have been marked as safe. By some miracle all our animals are also alive and well.
