This page is a last effort to raise funds to get these rabbits the surgery they need.

Farrah, Cooper & Dolly were found dumped on the side of the road. We tracked down where they came from thanks to the public & learned that they already lived a life of depression living in a wire crate with no shelter, food, water or flooring. Due to these conditions their legs splayed. Even though these people had caused this suffering, they then dumped them as they knew they wouldn’t make the $40 they wanted. Dolly was euthanised due to both legs needing to be amputated. This would have meant long term care for her which would not have been fair. We held her tight as we let her go. For Farrah and Cooper the future was uncertain. We discussed euthanising Cooper due to the severity of one of his legs and the possibility of the other starting to splay. Instead we did physio, regular vet visits, bum baths daily to prevent fly strike while little and unable to clean themselves. We amputated their bad legs, desexed, microchipped and vaccinated them and they are both thriving! Cooper recently has been suffering with eye issues. This may be due to them both needing lateral ear resection surgery as they are prone to middle ear disease due to not being able to scratch their ears properly after having a back leg amputated. Our splaybies have cost the rescue around $5k just getting them back to good health. They need one last surgery before going up for adoption but with our vet bill we can’t even consider doing the surgery. They’ve been through so much we can’t give up. Can you help?

Farrah and Cooper need two surgeries each to get both ears done. This will cost $6k so all money raised will go to the vet bills.
