Lets help our girl Bailey Lovett get to the World Uni Games 2017 in Taiwan to represent Auckland Uni and NZ in Womens U63kg Weightlifting
Auckland
Bailey Lovett is a champion of a woman in so many aspects of her life. Currently in the 3rd year of PhD in the Institute of Marine Science at the University of Auckland Bailey has been selected to represent the University of Auckland and New Zealand at the 2017 Summer Universiade (World University Games) to be held in Taipei, Taiwan from the 19th-30th August, at which over 10,000 athletes from 170 countries will be competing.
Bailey will represent NZ in Olympic Weightlifting in the Women's U63kg weight class where she will have three attempts at each of the Snatch and Clean & Jerk.
Being selected to represent her country is a huge honour and one that Bailey is really excited to pursue. The cost of participating in such an event comes with a pretty hefty price tag so as a way of showing Bailey our support we can do our bit to contribute to covering some of the costs involved.
I am involved in this cause as a friend of Bailey's and a staunch supporter of everything she sets about achieving in her life!
Funds will be used to cover the cost of travel(flights), accommodation and expenses in the lead up to and during the World University Games in Taipei, Taiwan Aug 19-30th 2017
