We have an ambitious goal to grow New Zealand's first waqf fund. Earn sadaqah jariyah by contributing to this landmark initiative!
Nationwide
Contribute to a gift that will keep on giving. Baitul Maal New Zealand has an ambitious goal to grow New Zealand's first waqf fund. Waqf is a unique act introduced by Islam: it has played significant socioeconomic, cultural, and religious development roles throughout the history of Islamic civilisation. Today, awqaf (plural of waqf) are a tool empowering communities - including Muslim minorities - around the world. But not yet in New Zealand! Your waqf donation will represent a capital gift or endowment, which is invested in a Shari'ah-compliant way to earn investment returns. These returns will be used to provide charitable projects and services, to Muslims and non-Muslims alike. Your capital donation (or waqf) will stay intact (in the form of an investment), creating a more sustainable platform for providing these projects and services. The waqf is a form of sadaqah jariyah, and earns perpetual reward for the donor, in sha Allah. A gift that really keeps on giving!
Baitul Maal New Zealand is a registered Charitable Trust that provides social and welfare services and projects for needy Muslims both in New Zealand and abroad. Some of our services are also provided to the wider (non-Muslim) community.
All waqf funds raised in this campaign will be invested in a Shari'ah compliant way to grow New Zealand's first waqf fund. Investment returns will be used to provide a variety of social and welfare-based services to both Muslims and non-Muslims alike.
Keep up the goodness through Shawwaal! 5 April 2024
We have been delighted by the support to grow NZ's first waqf fund. We are continuing to raise funds in Shawwaal, and have revised our target down to $5,000. Help us hit this target before the end of Shawwaal!
