Creating a Waqf (Endowment) Fund to uplift and support our communities for generations

Nationwide

We are embarking on the ambitious goal of creating a "Waqf Fund" for our community, that will one day allow us to support our communities on an ongoing, sustainable basis. How? We take the charity you donate, and invest it in assets that are compliant with Islamic ethical investing principles. Those investments will then produce income. That income will be used to support a wide range of community projects. This type of charity is 'Sadaqah Jariyah' as the contribution you make is kept in tact in the form of the investment, so that it can produce benefits to the community over, and over again, In sha Allah!

About us

Baitul Maal New Zealand is a registered Charitable Trust that provides social and welfare services and projects for needy Muslims both in New Zealand and abroad. Some of our services are also provided to the wider (non-Muslim) community.

Use of funds

Our communities have many needs! In time, the income from the Waqf Fund could be used to support range of projects, including masjid maintenance, scholarships, leadership training, da'wah, interest-free business loans, financial hardship support, etc.
