Tomas Bale and Wesley Day are here to make you do one thing: Laugh.
Wellington
Directed and Written by Wesley Day. The latest high-quality picture from Small Boat Productions, 'Baked for Christmas'. The film centers around two young guys on Christmas Eve who decide to have some afghan cookies laced with a certain green illicit substance. Later on, two thieves disguised as Santa and an Elf break into their home to steal their gifts, and discover the cookies. Chaos ensues.
Produced by Tomas Bale, the film is for a final project to complete our Level 6 Qualification in YOOBEE's Film and TV production course. One of the guiding factors of this film is its Kiwi roots, inspired by the lack of Kiwi cultural representation in media. Films such as ‘Goodbye Pork Pie’, ‘Boy’, and ‘Hunt for the Wilderpeople’ are great films, but there are still not enough NZ comedy films. Paying homage to Kiwi cinema, we have specifically chosen to shoot in Pukerua Bay, the location of Peter Jackson's first-ever film - 'Bad Taste'.
Together, we can make this film a reality. We will be making this film no matter what - so don't worry about your return on investment!
