Banish Cecily to Guildhall

Hi everyone, my name’s Cecily 🙂 I’m a PROUDLY autistic mezzo-soprano from New Zealand, and I have been accepted into London’s Guildhall School of Music and Drama! My dream is to perform operatic roles professionally, at an international level. I also hope to inspire, and pave the way for other neurodivergent musicians. It has been very difficult finding neurodivergent role-models in the opera industry, so I plan to change that! 😀

I am incredibly grateful to have been offered a financial award from GSMD, to cover a large part of my course fees. However, I will still need to raise funds to cover the rest of the course fees, airfares to London, my visa, rent, and other course-related/living costs. This is estimated to add up to roughly $64000 (NZD). Eek!!! But I believe that where there’s a will, there’s a way.
