Wanting our own space but need the support from my family. Been offer the basement but need funds to build self contained unit

Rentals are becoming very hard to find and landlord's like to take on working families or full timing working people not really looking for solo mums with a young child.With a space big enough to build a 2 bedroom self contained unit for my son and I, due to losing my daughter in December moving out of my mums isnt on the cards anymore so would love to be able to start doing uo the basement so my son and I can have family support and our own space, Any help towards the build would be awesome and so much help.

Use of funds
The funds will go towards the wood framing builders redoing the flooring.
