To help ease mothers life while fighting cancer for the second time.
Otago
Mother had breast cancer in 2017 and went through surgery, chemo and radiation. During this time she was unable to work, and I lived with her to help look after her and times were tough.
She has just been diagnosed with cancer again, this time in the lymph nodes .
We are unsure at this stage what treatment she can have this time as it is looking like surgery and radiation are not viable, but regardless, she will be unable to work again while she is fighting this and I would like to help ease this battle as much as possible, especially coming into winter.
UPDATE: She is undergoing an anti hormone treatment to try stop the cancer from spreading , and has had it go into her skull where they are keeping a close eye on it . Right now it is about trying to extend life as there is no getting rid of the cancer .
The pills she is taking are similar to ones she was tried on last year which had horrible side effects, so we hope these ones are better, but day to day life will still be painful.
I have heard so many people say over the years that rather than donating to a charity where they can’t be sure where their money is going, they’d rather give their money directly to someone who is suffering with the illness and it’s effects .
Well here’s your chance.
Any donation no matter how small is appreciated and makes a difference.
She is my mother and this is her second battle with cancer . She is unable to work while this goes on and I want to help ease her time
