With an opportunity of a life time. We would love your support as we travel overseas to represent NZ at the HHI championships

Auckland

We are The Brady Bunch Academy. During the 16th - 20th of April 2018, three of our crews - The Breakfast Club, The Brady Bunch and Brady XL teams competed at the NZ HHI National Street Dance Competition. Through hard work and perseverance, two of our crews placed in the finals qualifying for the World Hip Hop Championship in Arizona, USA. These crews are The Brady Bunch (2nd Place - Adults Division) and Brady XL (3rd Place - Mega Crew Division). We aim to take both crews overseas consisting of a strong 39 dancers and 4 organizational team members.

We are seeking FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE and SPONSORSHIPS for our Academy & Dancers to represent NEW ZEALAND and compete at the “HIP HOP INTERNATIONAL DANCE COMPETITION” from 5th August to 11th August 2018.

Majority of the demographic of our Dance Crew is made up of Pasifika Teens and Young Adults from South Auckland. We are not a Charitable Trust OR Society, thus making requests for any type of funding very difficult.

With very few of our dancers making stable wages, and are from low OR 1 income families, it has been difficult for our younger members to ask for financial assistance from their own families, stunting the ability for many to participate in enriching opportunities. We have spent the past months using car parks, parks, local schools and the streets to rehearse.

With only 1 month left to go, we are undergoing continuous fundraisers including Paid Performances, Plates of Food, Garage Sales, Raffles, Socials & Individual Fundraising, to reach our target, we are now on the quest to search for Local Businesses within our Area who would be willing to help support our Young People, and carry on the momentum to take our entire Dance Academy to Compete at an International Competition.

Along the way we’ve learnt that having a safe space for our youth to express and sharpen their talents, has positively influenced their leadership abilities as well as taught them that discipline and dedication can help break the stereotypes these youth are subjected to, due to where they’ve been raised and educated.

Having a family such as The Brady Bunch Academy doesn’t stop at the studio doors, as we are committed to taking a holistic approach to our dancers well-being, both physically and mentally.

We have a passion for this artistic outlet and are looking for support that allows us to focus our efforts towards empowering our youth in their talents.

We're sincerely appreciative of any donations you may offer towards our goal.
