Let's help Viking Kayaks get up and running again.
Nationwide
As many of you will have heard, a fire tragically gutted the Viking Kayaks factory in Matamata on the night of Saturday 8th January.
Viking Kayaks started out in a small shed in New Zealand in 1999. Grant, Karen and daughter Michelle Montague had an absolute passion for being on the water which led to the development of cutting-edge high performance and world class innovative fishing kayaks.
The Viking brand has grown to what it is today, in part, due to the generous support Viking has offered the fishing community. They have been very instrumental in organising kayak fishing competitions, and incredibly generous with supplying prizes for fishing tradeshows and other events.
One can only imagine the feeling of despair, watching the business they gave birth to go up in flames.
Now we need to help them get back on their feet, so we have started this Givealittle page.
Thanks in advance for your generosity.
Aaron, Martyn and John (Bounty Hunter Charters, Berleypro and Catch Fishing Tackle)
** Although Viking Kayaks did have some insurance in place, it is a long way short of what it is needed.

Funds raised will be used at the discretion of the owners of Viking Kayaks to get their business up and running again.
Increasing the target 17 January 2022
We are so grateful to the hundreds of kind and incredibly generous people in our community that have come together to support Viking , and many others have indicated they wish to contribute, so we are increasing our target to $40000.00. Thank you again for your support.
