Help Us Bring Paula Home: Your Support Can Make a Life-Changing Difference
Hamilton, Waikato
On August 15th, Paula experienced a sudden and severe medical emergency while on a one week visit to Australia. She suffered a brain aneurysm followed by a major stroke. After undergoing two critical brain surgeries and spending two weeks in the ICU on a ventilator, Paula now faces a challenging recovery. She is currently confined to a wheelchair with limited use of her left side, and remains in Brisbane Women's Hospital, where she has a long road to recovery ahead of her.
The cost of transporting Paula back to New Zealand exceeds $60,000, and she will require ongoing care and financial support as she is unable to work during her recovery.
While Paula has received exceptional care in Australia, she is far from her home, family, and friends.
We urgently need your help to raise the necessary funds to bring Paula back to New Zealand, where she can be surrounded by loved ones who can provide the support she needs. Please consider contributing to her medical and recovery expenses, and help us ensure she can begin her journey to recovery in familiar surroundings. Your support will make a profound difference in her life.
Paula has been a close friend of mine for over 20 years, and I want to do everything I can to support her, her immediate family and children, as they care for Paula during this challenging time.
Right now Paula needs money to get back to New Zealand. If the consulates change their minds & finally agree to assist with this cost, all funds raised will help provide Paula with the financial support and access to the care she desperately needs.
