Beach Haven Doesn't Need Super Liquor!

Beach Haven doesn't want another bottle shop in their community. Donations will help the community stop the store!

Beach Haven, Auckland

SSSD Limited has applied to open a new Super Liquor store at 4/101 Beach Haven Road - and the local community has said no!

Beach Haven has several liquor outlets already – including a bottle store less than 100m away. Another store is absolutely unnecessary.

What’s more, the site of the proposed store is right in the heart of the village – opposite Opaketai Garden and playground, close to Shepherd's Park and the Beach Haven Community House; on the main route many children use to get to and from school.

The team at Communities Against Alcohol Harm (CAAH) are working with Beach Haven

community members to help them stop this alcohol licence being granted.

We are raising funds to cover the costs of helping the community navigate the legal processes around alcohol licensing and make their case to the District Licensing Committees.

About us

Communities Against Alcohol Harm is a registered charity that partners with communities, local boards, health agencies, and other groups to provide specialised advice and assistance on alcohol licensing.

Use of funds

Donations help fund workshops to educate people about the licensing process and their rights, Navigators to guide community members through the legal process, research and costs of objecting to the District Licensing Committee.
