The Makara Community Centre Association needs your help to replace St Patrick's Church roof before winter sets in

Makara, Wellington

St Patrick's Church is a staunch linkpin to the Makara Community. A landmark that always catches your eye driving past with its beautiful leadlight windows, white weatherboards and green roof and matching window frames.

It's the place where many locals have smiled, laughed and cried. A place of fond and sad personal memories for lots of us. A place we want to keep. A place we want to use.

Unfortunately the green roof is nearing the end of its life and needs to be replaced. At a cost of $18,000 it's significant. Whilst a variety of funding options are being persued, time is of the essence and we really just need to get on with it before the winter sets in and it becomes and even bigger problem.

We would dearly appreciate any donation you can make on this page to get this project done.

Thank you.

Hi Robyn and Garry, So sorry not have to replied earlier but I'm away at the moment. Thank you so very much for your donation though. As you know the church is such an important part of Makara and its important for us to maintain it and not let it get into a poor state of repair. Thank you again, Carol
