RABBIT RESCUE, DAY 1 COMPLETED

We were told on Wednesday morning that the rabbits were being captured and removed from the property. We rushed to be there to save as many rabbits as we could. 48 rabbits were captured and removed. Some were in rough shape, but we took them all. (They didn't catch them all, and will be going back in the new year.) We took 18 adult females; 17 adult males; 10 juveniles; 3 babies. Now the bad news: ALL 18 ADULT FEMALES WERE PREGNANT!! Since Wednesday, 5 females have given birth. We could easily have between 68 - 100 babies. Yikes. And each will have to be fostered, desexed, vaccinated against the calicivirus. So we're feeling pretty overwhelmed, but determined to do our best.
