Bella needs a new knee

Please help my children and I fundraise enough money to get our dog Bella another new knee (and hopefully another 10 years with us).

We adopted the beautiful Bella from the SPCA in 2014. She was chosen for her sweet and gentle nature. Our children were only little (1 and 3 years old), and we wanted a fur baby who would grow up with the children, and be part of the family for years to come.

Sadly the next year, our marriage fell apart and I became a solo mum to my two children and Bella (my third!).

In 2016 Bella started showing signs of having problems with her legs. We took her to the beach and after chasing sticks in the sea for an hour we noticed she was lame that night. This started to happen on a regular basis, and is now at the point where I can't walk her on a lead for more than 10 minutes without her being in serious pain.

It turns out Bella is suffering from cruciate ligament disease and also has luxating patellas or in plain English, her knees keep popping in and out of the sockets causing inflammation, pain and preventing her from being able to put pressure on her legs and walk properly.

She needed surgery on both legs to fix her condition, which includes inserting titanium implants. She had surgery in January to repair her right hind leg, which went really well, however now her left leg is lame and she can't enjoy the benefits from the newly-fixed right leg.

As a single Mum who works full time, it's still hard to make ends meet, let alone having to try and find another $5,000 for the surgery. We have set up this Givealittle page and any donation towards this surgery would be amazing, and would be seriously appreciated by me and my children (and Bella!)

My dog Bella has cruciate ligament disease and has already had surgery in one leg, however her other leg still needs operating on, at significant cost. She's only 4 and still has so much life left but without the surgery she can barely walk.
