Taz is a much loved family puppy. She desperately needs knee reconstruction surgery worth $8,600 or our only other option is euthanasia
Waikato
Taz is a 1 year old puppy who can barely walk. Due to deformities in her knees (Cranial Cruciate Ligaments) Tazs ligament in her left knee is completely torn due to a major lack of cartilage supporting her joints, (her right leg is also about to go) when it does she will most likely not be able to walk at all.
Because of this, is in constant pain and can’t enjoy a playful life a puppy should. She’s still a puppy and already her quality of life is painfully compromised by her faulty knees .
My daughter and I love her more than words despite her disabilities, which we were unaware of when we adopted her. it makes me so sad every day to see her in pain and struggle to walk.
After many vet visits, X-rays , diet change, joint supplements and pain meds- vets have come to two conclusions: Have full knee reconstruction surgery to completely restore her knees and quality of life. Or put her down.
But Being a “minimum wage earning” family- where we go from here hurts my heart. We were quoted at least $8,600 just for the surgery which is completely beyond us to afford.
I am so scared for our Taz, she can’t keep living with this pain! It would break our hearts to have to put her down. Taz and I have an unbreakable bond and she has so much love to give- we don’t want to loose her!
So please.... we ask with all our hearts to please please help us out and “give a little” to help save the life of our loving, goofy, beloved fur baby and get her the surgery she desperately needs
Funds will be used to pay for Taz's much needed knee reconstruction surgery. Any extra will be put towards her after surgery care e.g. hydrotherapy for rehabilitation, dietary changes, and follow up appointments to ensure a successful recovery.
