    Hi everyone,

    Ben has made very good progress in his recovery and has been discharged from hospital, cleared to fly and will be home in NZ this weekend. A huge thankyou to all of you for your very generous contributions and best wishes - this has been immensely valuable in his recovery and the contributions have allowed him to have Petra in WA to support him and also to get him home to NZ to continue his recovery. Therefore this contribution page is being closed off this weekend 12/11/22. Many thanks!

    Thank you so much to everyone for your support and kind messages - we are feeling extremely humble for your generosity. Day 10 today. Ben woke up on day 7 and has made excellent progress since then. He has some stroke damage with weakness on right side but has managed to walk supported yesterday. He is speaking better today and there doesn’t appear to be any speech damage. They are moving him today from ICU to Neurology Ward where a rehab plan and further testing can take place. They are very pleased with his progress and feel with youth on his side he will be fine.
