We are raising money to get a bench in honour of Sophia Crestani at the University of Otago, nearly a year since her tragic death.

Otago

On the 6th of October 2019, Sophia went to a party where she tragically lost her life. Nearly a year on, we felt the need for a place for us to be able to come together to honour her memory. The money we raise will be used to fund a bench in Sophia's honour, underneath the cherry blossom tree in front of the Clock Tower at the University of Otago. With Spring just starting, the cherry blossom tree is a beautiful place to remember our beautiful friend. This will be a place where we can all come together to remember her, celebrate her and share our memories. Any donation is hugely appreciated, and from all of her friends at the University of Otago we are incredibly grateful. <3

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
