Ben Suncin has set himself a challenge to walk for 12 hours continuously this February to raise awareness and fundraise for brain injury.

Local Wanaka identity, Ben Suncin, lives with limited vision, mobility issues and other long-term effects from brain injury he sustained a number of years ago. He has set himself a challenge to walk for 12 hours in Wanaka on the 22 February 2022 and is keen for people in the community to join him in on the day for part or all of his walk.
Ben is an inspiration with his wide smile and zest for life. Aside from his health issues Ben has volunteered for various community events in the Upper Clutha area along as well as collecting for various appeals including the for the Brain Injury Association.
Ben is using this event to raise awareness around brain injury. The walk is to inspire other with brain injury, showing how you can adapt and achieve. Ben believes your injury doesn't define you and that your possibilities are endless.

Brain Injury Otago helps support and navigate clients through their brain injury to achieve a fulfilling life. This can range from managing activities of daily living, reconnecting in the community, returning to work or continuing education.
