Berhampore School Playground Surfacing

$2,075 of $6,500 goal
Given by 33 generous donors in 7 weeks

Our playground needs upgrading these holidays. Please help us to provide a safe surface for our children's play area.

Wellington

Please help us resurface our playground. It’s a popular play area with a large variety of activities offered to stimulate movement and imagination. However the wind plays havoc with the bark ground cover and we are looking for a more permanent solution to keep the playground surface in top notch condition. For this campaign, we are looking to raise $6,500 to purchase impact safety pads around the fireman’s pole, wide slide, and steep slide as well as replacement bark for other areas of the playground. Over the longer term we are investigating the possibility of a more permanent wet pour surface. The school doesn’t receive Ministry of Education funding to maintain the playground and would greatly appreciate the help of the community to assist with this project.

Bark Chips have arrived!  18 July 2016

The first phase of our playground resurfacing is now complete with the bark chips being installed by the probation service last week, the big slide has been re-positioned and new steps made to it.

We are grateful to all who have contributed financially to assist the school with this project and will update everyone again once the impact mats are installed.
