Bernice has Myalgea Encephalomyalitis (M.E) This disease has severely limited mobility leaving her to spend most of her days in a special bed in her home. It is her greatest wish to be able to spend time with her family out of the house. Mobility aids are required for this to happen. This particular disease/disability does not fall under a catagory that is publicly funded.
Pain, fatigue and motor skills issues are part of everyday life, and hanging on to a basic quality of life is difficult.

Having talked with the chair suppliers I have taken their advice and raised the goal to $1500. It will take a little longer but will mean a better quality set of wheels. At this stage I am hoping to get an ergonomically set up manual chair that will fold up and fit into the back of our current car. The electric wheels will have to wait until we can change our car. So while I still won't be fully independent, I will be able to go out and join in family activities. .... and the family can take turns pushing lol
Being able to sit in a chair set up for my particular physical idiosyncrasies (like my tremors and pressure points) will be just freaking amazing! So any 'shares' to help reach this goal are sincerely appreciated xxx
You guys are just too beautiful. Thank you xxx
