Help Goose Get Back on His Paws: A Boy, his Mum, and a Big Vet Bill

My name is Goose. I'm a 10 year old good boy, and best ever fur brother to my 8 year old sister.

Mum recently went away for the first time for a work conference. She even got to fly there. Mum never gets time out. She is our only adult. But our grandies have come to visit from far, far away overseas so she finally got to go.

We both missed her so much but were glad she got a chance to do something fun.

That's when trouble hit. I started having really bad tummy pain and I was shaking so much I couldn't stop. I fell over and my granddad called mum. They rushed me to the vet who told mum things are really bad and she needed to come home to be there for me and my super upset sister.

Mum got on the first plane she could get on back to me. I spent the night at the vet. I was scared. They checked my tummy. Bad news. They told mum I was bleeding inside and had a big grapefruit size ball in my belly that needed to come out soon. I don't like grapefruit. Nor does mum. Mum was crying a lot.

She told the vet to do whatever they can to make me better. She LOVES me. I'm her boy. She's told me I'm the reason she got out of bed some days when dad left.

But mum's had a hard time recently. Our house flooded in May and we lost all our things. It's been 4 months and we still can't go home. Home doesn't have full walls or floors anymore. Even still, mum has kept up my pet insurance payments as a priority.

I'm asking for help for mum to pay the extra money that is just so hard for her now.
