    That was a beautiful Christmas spent with those who mean the most to me, I hope that you all had a great Christmas too. Now that that is over with its time to really shift my focus on the next couple of months and start to prepare for surgery and the time off that will follow. Unfortunately finances after my mouth surgery have taken a hit as I now need to pay for dentures so that's just another hurdle to navigate on this journey.

  • Four months in!!

    Well yesterday saw us 4 months into this chemo journey, 4 down with 2 to go 🤞🤞 I've had good days and days that I've been a emotional mess over literally nothing 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

    My blood levels and liver proteins are a wee bit wonky so I'm being kept a eye on.

    This week I've advocated for myself and managed to bring forward my surgical consult so hopefully my anxiety around the upcoming surgery will soon settle.

    Here's hoping to get back to work this week after yet another week off🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

    As always big thanks to those at my side through this nuisance of a journey.

  • Half way through chemo

    So I've made it to the half way point in my chemo journey. Unfortunately the past few days I've been stuck in hospital with a very low blood count and a rampant tooth infection. But hopefully I'm on the road to recovery and we can get on with starting the next round of chemo. I'll need a little bit of time off after this infection and Unfortunately it's unpaid as my sick leave and holiday leave is all gone😭😭😭

    But this battle still continues.
