Help me fight bi-lateral breast cancer
Christchurch, Canterbury
On the 2nd of July, the day after my 40th birthday I learned the news that I had a fight with breast cancer on my hands.
I was initially diagnosed with grade 2 double pos, her2 neg invasive ductal carcinoma in my left breast.
Through the testing that followed over the next few weeks I became a part of the 1-3% of women who are diagnosed with breast cancers in both breasts at the same time. Another lump had been found in my right breast, although this one is smaller in size (only 10mm as opposed to 90x80mm which is the size o the lump in my left) and has not grown at the same rate as the cancer in my left which also turns out to be inflammatory cancer which is unfortunately more high risk.
Currently I am undergoing 6 months of chemo before surgery, radiation and hormone therapy.
I am still working as much as I possibly can at this stage but there will become a point where I do need to take a extended period of time off.
This givealittle will help to support my family while I am on extended leave as my holiday/sick days are very quickly diminishing.
Your help and support is hugely appreciated

That was a beautiful Christmas spent with those who mean the most to me, I hope that you all had a great Christmas too. Now that that is over with its time to really shift my focus on the next couple of months and start to prepare for surgery and the time off that will follow. Unfortunately finances after my mouth surgery have taken a hit as I now need to pay for dentures so that's just another hurdle to navigate on this journey.
Thankyou very much
