Help Al Te Moananui get to the 2022 International Surfing Association Sup World Championships in Puerto Rico.

Kaikoura, Canterbury

Kia ora, my name is Alan Te Moananui and I have been selected for the NZ Sup (paddleboard) Surf Team for the 2022 I.S.A. World Champs in Puerto Rico in October! I am a P.E. teacher in a small rural high school in Kaikōura. I am a passionate surfer and coach. I have coached school surfing teams, rugby teams and coached students in Judo at both national and international level successfully. Now, I myself have been selected, and get my opportunity to represent Aotearoa, New Zealand at the highest level in Sup Surfing. This has been a massive goal of mine that I have been working hard towards over the past four years. Getting flights to Puerto Rico, flying with the paddleboards as well as accommodation is going to be very expensive. My local boardriders club are supporting me where they can and I am looking for support from friends far and wide to help get me to my first heat at the world championships.

Use of funds

The money will be spent on, accommodation, airfares, oversize baggage costs and entry fees.
